Hi everyone! I've been stuck at a bodyweight snatch for a few months now and would appreciate a good critique. I feel really slow and am just not getting how pulling myself under the bar should feel. Here goes:

The most obvious thing is the early arm bend. Its not terrible but its there. Some people can get away with this and still get a great hip extension and speed going under, I dont think you are one of those people. Concentrate on extending the hips at the top, and letting the arms stay loose a little longer.

Thanks, that makes sense. I do tend to rush to get to the power position. I will work on that and also leg strength which I'm sorely lacking.
Thanks again! |

Does this look more on the right track?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrT6AgqDBZk I made sure to tighten my lats more and changed my grip a bit. By the way, the colored bumpers are holding up great. |
