View Full Version : Bodyweight Routine for the Holidays

Is anyone else's gym closed for the holidays?
I was wondering about bodyweight routines to do in order to maintain strength while I take about a 2 or 3 week break from weightlifting.
The other day I did 4 rounds of
10 diamond pushups
5 pullups/chins
10 V-sit ups
10 stair jumps (jumped up 4 or 5 of my porch steps)

Is it worth doing the bodyweight stuff? Should anything be added or changed?
In the meantime I'll be trying to set up a session at Cal Strength!

Gym opens Jan 3rd for me. Been doing daily pull-ups and sprinting.

I can do 20 pull-ups so do something like:
Day 1 – 4 x 60%
60% x 20 reps = 12 reps, so perform 4 sets of 12 reps.
Day 2 – 5 x 60%
Day 3 – 6 x 60%
Day 4 – 4 x 70%
Day 5 – 5 x 70%
Day 6 – 6 x 70%
Day 7 – 4 x 80%
Day 8 – 5 x 80%
Day 9 – 6 x 80%
Day 10 – Max

Hope this is enough to maintain my strength lol
