Debate and discussion and even a little name calling are all interesting and even informative when it comes to technique, training methods, teaching methods, etc.
But results are, as grandpa used to say, "where the rubber hits the road".
Here is an 11 year old beginner after a couple of months in the gym... He was taught in the fashion described in the video teaching series at californiastrength.com, his workouts are mostly singles and doubles of the competitive lifts and centered around producing consistent technique. His coaching has been about 75% by Jon North, and about 25% me.
Obviously he is not perfect, but hes on the right path, IMO at least.
